Gov. Matawalle to establish due process office

From Abba Kabara,  Gusau.

Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara state said he will soon create a very functional due process unit to ensure strict compliance with financial discipline in all government spendings.

Matawalle said his administration will not compromise compliance with the principles of due process and rule of law while carrying out government business in the state.

The Governor dropped this hint in the early hours of today  while swearing in five newly appointed  Special Advisers and Four Permanent Secretaries at the Government House,Gusau.

Matawalle said his administration will not tolerate any form of compromise or disregard to the principles of due process and rule of law “which are the guiding philosophies of my government”,  he emphasized.

He said a due process office will be established in order to promote accountability and transparency as a civilized and progressive option for a modern way of governance

He explained that the due process office will be entrenched with the rudiments of Civil Service at ensuring zero tolerance for laxity, corruption and indiscipline in all ramifications towards good governance.

On the newly sworn in officers, the governor urged them to augment the role of the State Executive Council in adding more value and credence to his political strides in the governance of the State.

He further stated that they should be fully prepared as they take up their new assignments by putting all hands on deck in confronting the political and social challenges facing the State so as to turn around the fortunes for prosperity and posterity.
