Nasarawa: FG kicks Off Cash Grants of 57m to 2,600 Rural women From 5 LGAs

Federal government says it has kicks off cash grants of 57 million to 2, 600 Rural women as beneficiaries drawn from five local government Areas of the state.

Representing the Hon. Minster of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management & Social Development Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq , Minister for State Science & Technology, Barr. Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi today kicks -off the Federal Government Cash Grant to 2,600 Rural Women drawn from 5 LGAs in Nasarawa State including Awe, Lafia, Wamba, Kokona and Nasarawa.

However, Mr. Hassan said the grant is to enable rural women cushion the hardship caused by Covid-19 pandemic and to improve their economic standard of living and as well move them from extreme poverty, assuring them of more programmes from the federal government in the nearest future.

Representing His Excellency, Engr. Abdulahi Sule, Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, appreciated Mr. President for the initiative and promised to complement Federal Government’s effort in empowering rural women.
