Chelsea boss drops Tammy Abraham hint amid Aston Villa transfer talk

Tammy Abraham’s future at Chelsea has come under the spotlight in recent weeks following a lack of first-team action under head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Timo Werner, Olivier Giroud and Kai Havertz have all been ahead of Abraham in the Chelsea pecking order in recent times.Sorry, the video player failed to load.(Error Code: 101102)VIDEO UNAVAILABLEASHLEY PREECE ON HOW WESLEY FITS INTO THE VILLA SQUAD UPON RETURNING FROM INJURY

Abraham has not featured since February and has not even made the bench at times.

However, Tuchel says the player has a “high chance” of being recalled to the squad for Chelsea’s crucial Premier League clash with West Ham on Saturday evening.

“The big advantage is that as a striker you always have the chance to change things around in one or two minutes,” said the German.

“Sometimes you come in late, you score a decisive goal and you change the whole momentum.

“This is far easier, even if he does not feel it right now, far easier situation to turn things around than e.g. for Kepa or even for defenders when you normally never have the genuine possibility to come on to a match after 70-75 minutes.
