FRSC officials cheat death as trailer crushes official van in Osun.

The Osun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), officials escaped death on Saturday as a cement laden trailer crushed their patrol vehicle.

It was gathered that the incident happened along Ilesha/Osogbo road around 11:12 AM when the trailer plying that route rammed into the well-packed patrol vehicle.

Our Correspondent learnt that the driver of the trailer claimed that he lost the brake of the vehicle while descending the slope thereby ramming into the vehicle to stop.

The driver was arrested immediately while the officers escaped the accident.

The Command Public Relation Officer (PRO) Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi, confirmed the incident in a statement issued and made available to newsmen in Osogbo the Osun State capital.

According to Mrs Ogungbemi in the statement, “The Morning Patrol team led by RC OB Idowu was involved in a road crash while patrolling along Ilesa – Osogbo route, a trailer loaded with Cement with registration number KSF 614 XU rammed into the well-packed Patrol Vehicle.

“The trailer’s driver said, he lost control due to brake failure. However, none of the Patrol team members got injured.
