CSOs Present Annual Assessment of MDAs Report : NYSC, DSS , CBN Tops Performance Chart

…..Commends NYSC, DSS, CBN On National Unity, Skills Acquisition, Economy

The Civil Society Joint task force on Good Governance, Accountability and Reforms (CSOGAR) has presented its annual report on the performance of MDAs under the federal government.

In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja , alternate Chair of the task force, Rev Solomon Semaka, convener of Save Nigeria Movement commended the director general of Department of State Services for his Sterling efforts in ensuring national unity and cohesion which has seen the country withstand multiple sinister motives by proponents of Nigeria’s disintegration.

” We can all relate what this country would have become if certain things were allowed to fly. ” From Nnamdi Kanu’s IPOB to Igboho’ Yoruba agitation; indeed, some people wanted to replicate the Cammeronian Ambazonia situation in Nigeria but for the dexterity and astute intelligence management of the DSS, the country moved on with relative peace and stability wining at every turn against enemies.

” For us, keeping the country together is first and foremost the first and most important achievement because without cohesion and unity there can be no meaningful development” the DSS has helped us cross this bridge. The report stated.

” It further poured encomiums on the director general and management of National Youth Service Corps Brig General Shuaibu Ibrahim for consolidating on the foundation of unity laid by the DSS in line with president Buhari vision of One Nigeria. ” The NYSC under Brig General Shuaibu has moulded the youths who make up the active population of the nation on the basis of national unity and service to the fatherland”

The ongoing skills acquisition and entrepreneurship drive in the NYSC scheme has reawakened the endless opportunities for every hard working Nigerian youth willing to serve their fatherland. This is highly commendable” the report stated.

” Highlighting the need for inter – agency cooperation between government organisations, the report noted that a lot more could be achieved if agencies work together than apart. ” We should deemphasize rivalry between government entities”

The report further commended the central Bank Of Nigeria leadership for ensuring a resilient economy in the face of the Covid -19 global health challenge and shortfall in crude oil revenues.

“We have taken time to make an independent asessment of over 255 critical agencies and the above three stands out in every form, both in professionalism, values and actual service delivery to the masses in line with the acts establishing them”

” It would appear, that the DSS has created the environment and set the tone for unity and cohesion , while the NYSC has been consistent in the implementation and promotion of the values and culture of unity, living the CBN with it’s multifaceted pro-masses social welfare packages.

The report called for moral support to performing agencies to be able to hold them accountable .
