Breaking: Terrorists kill traditional leader in Chikun in Kaduna LGA

A traditional leader has been reportedly killed by terrorists in Kaduna state.

Mr iliya Garba, Sarkin Leyi, Chikun local government area of Kaduna state was reportedly killed after 30 days in terrorists captivity.

The news about his demise was released Monday by his younger brother, Mr Williams Garba who was kidnapped alongside with the senior brother.

Mr Williams Garba reportedly broke the news of the death of Sarikin Leyi, his senior brother, Monday on reaching home after release from the terrorists den.

Contacted on his GSM, the Kaduna state police command spokesman ASP Muhammed Jalige could not respond, eyewitness however told our reporter that a ransom was paid for the village head and his brother.

“Am still gathering information about the Sarkin Leyi who was kidnapped thirty days ago, and information reaching the family say that he has been killed but I will get back to you.

“His name was Iliya Garba, he was kidnapped thirty days ago with his younger brother in the village which is call LEYI in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state and the brother was released today seven March, before the killing of the village head was reviled.

“The name of his younger brother is Williams Garba, they pay ransom
His younger brother return with the news of his dead. Yes they pay ransom”, the local sources stated.
