Activist Tasks Stakeholders On Sustainable Press Freedom In Nigeria

The Executive Director Conscience for human Rights and conflict Resolution, Comrade Idris Miliki Abdul has charged
Stakeholders to sustain Protection of the freedom of the press and free flow of information in the society.

In a statement signed by an Activist, Idris Miliki Abdul and made available to the press in Lokoja to mark the ‘World Press Freedom Day’ condemned the recent attack on Media practitioners in Kogi and other parts of the country while discharging their duties.

He therefore charged owners of Media institutions to take the welfare of journalists seriously stressing that Journalism as a noble profession should be accorded all the due respects while performing their legitimate duty.

The Executive Director therefore enjoined journalists not to allow themselves to be used or intimidated in any form and to uphold the principle of professionalism at all times.
