Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman has issued a strong warning to Arsenal ahead of their UEFA Champions League opener this Thursday, according to *Soccernet.ng*.

Fresh off an impressive performance for Atalanta in Serie A, where Lookman registered both a goal and an assist in their 3-2 comeback win over Fiorentina, the forward believes his team is ready to take on the Premier League giants.

Despite Arsenal being the favorites due to their squad depth and quality, Lookman is confident that Atalanta, playing at home in the Gewiss Stadium, has a good chance of securing a victory.

Lookman’s Confidence Ahead of Arsenal Clash
“Arsenal are a very strong team, and I know what to expect from them. Playing against a team of that level is always a difficult challenge, but we are ready,” Lookman told *Tutto Atalanta*.

He emphasized the significance of their Champions League qualification, saying, “We earned this place in the Champions League thanks to our great last season, and we want to show that we deserve to be here.”

With the Gewiss Stadium set for an electric European night, Lookman added, “The stadium will be full, and it will be a special environment for a European night like Thursday. We are charged and ready to face the match with the right spirit.”

Atalanta’s Return to the Champions League
Atalanta last played in the Champions League during the 2021/22 season. After winning the Europa League last season, La Dea is eager to make their mark in Europe’s top-tier club competition.

Arsenal, despite being considered favorites, will face a charged-up Atalanta team determined to make a statement. The clash promises to be an exciting encounter between two high-caliber sides.
