Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Johnson Adenola, who oversees Zone 16 Command Headquarters, recently hosted Rear Admiral OBF Oladipo, Commander of the Joint Task Force (JTF) South-South, Operation Delta Safe, at his office in Okaka, Yenagoa.According to a statement from the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gunn Emonena, the courtesy visit aimed to strengthen inter-agency cooperation in tackling crime and insecurity across the Niger Delta region.
During the meeting, AIG Adenola congratulated Rear Admiral Oladipo on his recent deployment as JTF Commander. He expressed gratitude on behalf of officers and men of Zone 16 for the gesture of solidarity and emphasized the importance of sustained unity and collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the JTF.
Rear Admiral Oladipo, in response, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and noted that the visit allowed him to familiarize himself with Zone 16 as a critical stakeholder in fulfilling the mandate of Operation Delta Safe.The JTF Commander called for continued cordial working relations and mutual support, highlighting the need for effective collaboration to enhance security across the Niger Delta.
He further commended the pivotal role of the police in joint operations, stressing that partnerships between the Nigeria Police Force and the JTF are essential for ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to proactive engagement and coordinated strategies to address security challenges and maintain law and order across the South-South geopolitical zone.
