By Jabiru Hassan, Kano.

APC initiative For Good Governance (APC-IGG) has commended the secretary to the government of the Federation, Senator Dr. George Akume for wading into the minimum wage issues between the NLC and the Federal government.

In a statement issued to newsmen by the National president of the initiative Ambassador Musa Mohammed Tsoken Tuesday afternoon in Abuja, APC-IGG disclosed that Akume’s intervention has brought good understanding between the labour union and the federal government of Nigeria at this crucial time.

” We are happy to disclose that the recent withdrawal from the strike by the NLC/TUC has proven that the SGF is a bridge builder who is always ready to promote peace and unity between the federal government and the labour in order to protect the good image of Tinubu administration at all levels”. The statement said.

Ambassador Tsoken assured that the present administration is working selflessly towards the progress of the Nigerian workers and the reconciliation between the two sides would also facilitate the implementation of all what is agreed during the meeting with the SGF and thanked the labour leaders for their understanding and contribution towards the national development.
