APC Leaders Urge Peace in the Southwest Amid Hardship

By   Milcah    Tanimu

The Southwest Executive Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Nigerians to maintain peace and avoid turning the region into a conflict zone. They expressed optimism that the current hardships facing Nigeria will soon be alleviated, leading to a better quality of life for all.

During an emergency meeting in Akure, Ondo State, the APC leaders emphasized the importance of patience and caution, urging Nigerians to support the present administration. In a communiqué issued by National Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Southwest, Isaac Kekemeke, and Zonal Secretary, Vincent Bewaji, the party implored South Westerners, both at home and abroad, to resist any attempts to use the region as a hub for violence or criminal activities through protests.

The leaders acknowledged the constitutional right of every Nigerian to peaceful protest and self-expression regarding government policies. They also highlighted the significant efforts made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to steer Nigeria towards socio-economic progress, ultimately aiming for prosperity and abundance for all citizens.
