APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe, Empowers Traders with ₦50 Million Cash

By Israel Adamu, Jos

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has donated ₦50 million to market women in Plateau State.

Prof. Nentawe made the donation during a breakfast meeting with the traders in Jos on Wednesday.

Recounting his childhood experiences and the challenges faced by many families, the APC Chairman explained that ₦20 million would be shared directly among the traders, while the remaining ₦30 million would be used to establish a cooperative society for them.

He assured the women that the APC-led Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to improving the lives of ordinary citizens.

“I urge you to continue to support the administration of President Bola Tinubu — a government that makes promises and fulfills them,” he said.

Nentawe also called on the people of Plateau State to rally behind President Tinubu’s vision, stressing the importance of electing leaders who understand the needs of their communities and are committed to addressing them.

“President Bola Tinubu is determined to run a trust-based governance system driven by citizen participation,” he added.

A representative of the market women, who identified herself as Mama Mary, received the ₦50 million cheque on behalf of the traders. She thanked the APC National Chairman for the empowerment initiative and pledged that the traders would utilize the funds judiciously to improve their businesses and livelihoods.
