Arsenal Hand Goalkeeper David Raya Improved Contract

Arsenal have rewarded Spanish goalkeeper David Raya with an upgraded contract, reaffirming his importance to Mikel Arteta’s squad.

According to reports, the Spain international has agreed to a pay rise on the deal he signed when he joined the Gunners permanently in the summer of 2024.

BBC Sport revealed that the new terms were finalised earlier this summer, though the club has yet to make an official announcement.

Raya, who previously earned around £100,000 per week, will now receive an increased salary under the improved agreement. However, the duration of his contract remains unchanged, with the deal set to run until 2028.

The 29-year-old has established himself as Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper since arriving from Brentford, playing a key role in the club’s domestic and European campaigns.
