Asake Makes O2 Arena History with Sold-Out Concert

During a landmark concert at the O2 Arena, Asake captivated fans with performances of his hit singles, including tracks from his recently released album, *Lungu Boy*. The event was marked by a special appearance from Grammy winner Wizkid and actor Idris Elba, who presented Asake with a sold-out plaque and a BRIT silver plaque for his album *Work Of Art*.

With this achievement, Asake becomes part of an elite group of Afrobeats stars, joining Davido and Wizkid as Nigerians who have sold out the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena more than once. Asake’s first sold-out performance at the iconic venue in 2023 followed the release of his sophomore album, signaling his global rise.

The O2 Arena has played a pivotal role in documenting Afrobeats’ expansion on the world stage. Davido made history in 2018 as the first Nigerian solo act to headline the venue, while Wizkid followed in 2019 and made headlines again in 2021 with three consecutive nights of sold-out shows.
