Bayelsa State Governor’s aide gets commendation

An aide to the Bayelsa State governor, Senator Douye Diri on political matters, Hon. Collins Cocodia has been commended for his doggedness and  relentless reconciliation efforts at making the PDP stronger and united in the state.

In a press statement issued by his media aide on his one year in office, Mr.Patrick Ndubuisi said within the one year in office, the special adviser has been able to reconcile aggrieved members in the party and also have bring back those who left the party to the umbrella family.

The  statement said, the Commendation was made by a former Special Adviser to the President and a chieftain of the PDP, Deacon Braeyi Ekiye, when Hon Cocodia paid him a courtesy call at his Yenagoa residence. 

Deacon Ekiye, who is the Publisher of EnvironmentWatch newspaper noted that Hon Cocodia’s reconciliation efforts within one year in office has brought peace and unity to the PDP in the state, adding that PDP is the only dominant party since the inception of our nascent democracy. 

The statement further called on the Special Adviser not to relent in his reconciliation mission and vision, praying God to lead and direct him achieve this worthy cause as he celebrates his one-year in office. 

Deacon Ekiye used the opportunity to advise the State Governor, Sen. Douye Diri to set his mind on his ‘performance bond’ with the people of Bayelsa State, and work decisively to make manifest holistically the State Government’s prosperity agenda. 

He expressed joy and satisfaction on Government’s commitment to open up Bayelsa State for accelerated development by embarking on the three Senatorial roads and other critical infrastructure, socio-economic programs and projects to move the State forward.  

In his response, Special Adviser, Cocodia thanked Deacon Ekiye for identifying with the aspirations of the State government and the vision of the leadership of the State. 

Collins Cocodia assured Bayelsans that the present prosperity government was determined to live up to the expectation of a people-oriented development architecture where peace, security and holistic development is guaranteed.
