BBNaija Season 1 Runner-Up Francisca Owumi Passes Away

Francisca Owumi, a former housemate and first runner-up of the inaugural season of Big Brother Naija in 2006, has passed away.

Her family announced her death on Instagram, sharing, “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”

Reports indicate that Owumi died following a brief illness. She was a memorable contestant on the first season of Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija), recognized for her energetic dance moves and charming personality.

During her time on the show, she shared the house with notable contestants such as Katung Aduwak, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Gideon Okeke, and the late Joseph Ada.

After her stint on reality TV, Owumi pursued a career in music, releasing two singles, “Gbadun You” and “Diva,” under her record label, Cisca Entertainment, in 2012. She also contributed as a writer for Revista, an international magazine based in Ghana.
