Budget Minister Links Insecurity to Nigeria’s Economic Challenges

The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Abubakar Bagudu, has stated that Nigeria’s insecurity challenges are closely tied to its economic difficulties. He made these remarks on Thursday at the News Agency of Nigeria’s Inaugural Annual International Lecture.

Bagudu emphasized the need to appreciate the federal government’s efforts in addressing these issues. The lecture, themed “Insecurity in the Sahel (2008-2024): Dissecting Nigeria’s Challenges – Genesis, Impacts, and Options,” was organized by NAN to explore the security situation in the Sahel and Nigeria.
