CBN Policies Favourable to Businesses- Market Women

A coalition of several Market Women Organisations have commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for the boost witnessed in the economy which has made business worth the venture in the country.

The group at a solidarity rally in support of President Buhari and the Central Bank of Nigeria management attributed the boost in the economy to the policies put in place in the last six years.

Speaking to journalists at the Unity Fountain, Mrs Ngozi Ehiara , coordinator of the group said the support received by various Nigerians from the various CBN packages has demonstrated the commitment of the apex bank to deliver on it’s mandate regardless.

“Despite dwindling oil prices, unpredictable and volatility in the country and the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic, the apex bank has delivered’ we cant be more proud of Mr President and the CBN management.

“In the last two decades, no administration has ensured financial stability of the economy such as experienced in the course of this current leadership of the apex bank.

“Nigerians have never enjoyed the benefits of interventions and policies aimed directly at the ordinary masses” this is quite commendable”, the group maintained.

It further said it conducted the solidarity rally to thank President Buhari and as well boost the morale of the CBN governor and his team to continue to deliver it’s mandate.

“Every one can see the focus, everyone can see the successes, virtually every household has a positive story to tell about he many intervention packages of the current administration.

“The effective management of COVID-19 facilities by the apex bank was the greatest and most effective policy ever proposed to the direct benefit of ordinary Nigerians.

“We have nothing to offer in return but this rally is intended to show the appreciation of Nigerians to the CBN management”, the group noted.

The group also revealed that it suspects that the CBN is able to achieve this feats due to the focus and team work of the management and their commitment to deliver promises to the ordinary Nigerians.

Consequently, the group passed a vote of confidence on the apex bank and urged it to maintain the tempo of service delivery to the ordinary masses .
