The Nasarawa State Commissioner of information, Culture and Tourism, Dogo Shaman has assumed office.
Speaking to journalists today in his office, he said efforts will be made to ensure that all pending files on his desk will be studied and immediate actions would be taking to implement them if necessary.
In his words, he said “as you can see I just assumed office and there is a lot to be done, all effort will be put in place to ensure the smooth running of this ministry I am a man of honour and have respect for journalists in the state. I will ensure that every bit of the promises I made concerning the welfare of journalists and other activities are actualized.
I want to sincerely thank all the stakeholders and the NUJ executives who gave me the opportunity to serve and lifted me to this position I am now. I am not taking it for granted. I want to also thank all the journalists in the state for their immense support during and after the swearing-in”. He said.
lt would be recalled that daybreak news had earlier reported that Hon. Dogo Shama was the incumbent chairman of NUJ Nasarawa branch from where he was nominated as commissioner for information, Culture and Tourism to serve in the administration of Gov. Abdullahi Sule.
