A Magistrate Court 2 sitting in Lokoja has remanded the Pastor of New Jerusalem Deliverance Ministry, Adeiza Peter in Kabba Correctional facility.
The New Jerusalem Deliverance Ministry is located in Ageva, Okene Local Government area of the State and the pastor was accused of unwholesome practices which bothers round medical quackery and captivity of members.
Adeiza Peter was remanded for causing culpable homicide, miscarriages and carrying out a legal maternity under the disguise of the church.
The presiding Magistrate, A.A. Umar reminded Adeiza Peter till the 20th October, 2022.
It could be recalled that based on available information, the Kogi State Government stormed the New Jerusalem Deliverance Ministry, where Mentally unstable persons placed under chains were freed.
Others who were mainly young women who claimed they came for prayer and had spent months in the ‘church’ were let loose.
