Social media commentator, Oriretan Honour, has expressed skepticism about the longevity of the newlywed couple Priscilla Ojo and Juma Jux, suggesting their high-profile union may not stand the test of time.
The celebrity couple recently wrapped up their lavish wedding ceremony in Tanzania, attended by top dignitaries and entertainment figures from across Africa. The event’s highlight came during the after-party, where Juma Jux surprised Priscilla with a brand-new Range Rover, drawing admiration and envy online.
However, Oriretan Honour, known for his outspoken takes on social media, took to X (formerly Twitter) to criticize the scale and spending involved in the celebration.
“The effort and cash wasted on this Priscilla Iyabo Ojo and Juma Juice wedding could have been used to develop Nigeria,” he wrote.
He argued that the extravagant affair resembled a movie production more than a marital union and jokingly suggested it be aired on Netflix or in cinemas under the title “Crying Bestie.”
Oriretan further stated that marriages with this level of public attention — especially those heavily documented on social media — often don’t last.
“More unwise. Many don’t know it may soon crash since social media marriages don’t last,” he said. “Sha put this wedding on Netflix, cinemas ‘cos of the stars, and title it Crying Bestie. Be wise.”
His comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting his view on celebrity marriages, while others criticized the unsolicited negativity toward the couple’s union.
