Cross River Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC) has reaffirmed that the conduct of local government Election in the state, remains sacrosanct as stipulated in the election time table released by the Commission.
Chairman of the state electoral umpire, Dr Mike Ushie Anake disclosed this in a chat with our political Reporter in his office in Calabar.
Anake, who revealed that the time table has not been altered, further intimated that the Commission shall make public the full list of candidates for both Chairmanship and Councillorship positions in the 196 council wards of the 18 local government councils in the state.
He admonished members of the political class to play the game by the rules as the Commission will create an enabling environment for all contending parties to compete on a level playing ground to deepen democracy in the state.
