Deputy Speaker Has Renewed Hope of Abians with His Statement

It’s ironic for the PDP to criticize Ben Kalu when their 24 years in power turned Abia State into one of the most neglected and backward states in the country. Under their watch, Abia went from being a promising state to one plagued by underdevelopment, poor infrastructure, and pervasive filth.

The party that failed to uplift Abia, allowing it to become one of the dirtiest states, lacks the moral standing to lecture anyone. Instead of deflecting blame, the PDP should reflect on its legacy in Abia, which is marked by decades of missed opportunities and stagnation. The people of Abia deserve better, and it’s clear that the old ways are no longer acceptable.

What HON Speaker has Said is the right thing to say as an Opposition Party.

You don’t expect him to say APC will not Filled a candidate in 2027 so Governor Otti can have his 8 years like most people believe that we should just all sing hallelujah and fill no candidate

All those attacking DS’s Statements are merely seeking attention to cover up their ineffectiveness in fulfilling their legislative responsibilities to their constituencies.

Can their constituents point to a single project they have executed since they elected them 13 months ago and sent them to Abuja?

Instead of these distractions, they all should study the successful Legislative Constituency Projects of Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu during his tenure, even before he became Deputy Speaker.

As DS Kalu rightly said, the APC is focused on taking over the state government in 2027, and the same APC will also reclaim seats and send them back to their constituency from Abuja.

No part of Abia can afford to keep inexperienced and underperforming legislators in Abuja.

Their lack of tangible achievements and failure to deliver on their legislative responsibilities are clear signs that Abia needs more effective representation which only APC Candidates can give.

Why are some Labour Party members fixating on a single political statement made by the Deputy Speaker? I thought they said APC was dead in the state?

Their reaction seems to be driven more by insecurity and fear than by substance. For 13 months, the APC in Abia has rarely spoken out, as seen by the PDP. Yet, now with just one statement, the underperforming LP House of Representatives members sent to Abuja are in a frenzy.

This is a classic case of overcompensating for their own weaknesses by trying to create unnecessary tension in the state, Instead of focusing on real legislative work, they are attempting to create distractions to cover up their lack of achievements.
