Doctor says I have only weeks left to live — Singer Ray J

American singer and reality television personality Ray J says doctors have warned him about the severity of his health condition following a recent hospitalisation in Las Vegas.

In videos shared on social media, the 45-year-old, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., said he was treated for severe pneumonia and heart-related complications. He claimed physicians told him his heart is functioning at about 25 per cent capacity.

Ray J attributed his condition to years of heavy drinking and an unhealthy lifestyle, saying the long-term impact has affected his heart and overall wellbeing.

“My health is not okay,” he said in one of the videos, adding that doctors had expressed serious concerns about his prognosis.

He also disclosed plans to travel abroad in the coming weeks to explore additional treatment options, noting that he is seeking further medical support.

The singer thanked his parents and his sister, Brandy, for their support, saying they have assisted him during his recent health challenges.

Ray J has previously been hospitalised for pneumonia and other health-related issues. His representatives have not released an official medical statement, and the details he shared have not been independently verified.
