Dogara Urges Nigerians to Embrace 2026 with Hope and Unity

Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, former Speaker of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Board of the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited (NCGC), has extended heartfelt New Year greetings to Nigerians, expressing confidence that 2026 will usher in renewed opportunities and progress under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

In his New Year message, Dogara described the coming year as a potential turning point for the nation, highlighting reforms aimed at strengthening the economy and improving the welfare of citizens. He noted that the administration has already laid firm foundations for growth and stability, urging Nigerians to welcome the year with optimism and a spirit of unity.

Dogara outlined key areas where Nigerians can expect tangible progress, including enhanced security, economic empowerment, infrastructural renewal, agricultural transformation, digital innovation, and expanded social investment programs. He emphasized that institutions such as the NCGC will play a vital role in making credit more accessible to small and medium enterprises, while ongoing investments in roads, rail, and power projects will connect communities and drive productivity.

He further pointed to agricultural policies designed to boost food security, digital initiatives that will prepare young people for opportunities in technology, and strengthened safety nets to support vulnerable households. According to Dogara, these reforms demonstrate the government’s commitment to building a Nigeria where prosperity is shared by all.

Commending the administration’s resilience and vision, Dogara said efforts to diversify the economy and deepen democratic governance are laying the groundwork for a brighter future.

“As Nigerians, our strength lies in unity, perseverance, and faith in the promise of tomorrow,” Dogara remarked. “Let us embrace this New Year with optimism, knowing that together we can achieve greatness.”

He concluded by wishing every Nigerian peace, progress, and prosperity in 2026, expressing hope that the year will bring blessings to every home.
