Frontline politician, businessman, and former presidential candidate, Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, has said that God is set to do great and mighty things in Plateau State and Nigeria, hence the need for the people to return to Him in worship.
He stated this during a visit to Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, to condole with the government and people of the state over recent attacks and killings, and to also intimate the governor ahead of the Middle Belt Worship Convention 2025, scheduled to hold on May 9th and 10th, 2025, at the Eliel Center, Jos.
Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, who is also a current presidential aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), reflected on Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s legal battles and Supreme Court judgment, which he said highlights the significance of faith and divine intervention in the face of challenges. He praised Governor Mutfwang’s leadership style, infrastructural development across the state, commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance.
Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim also disclosed that the convention promises to be a significant event, promoting spiritual growth, unity, and faith in the Middle Belt region, while extending an invitation to the state government to participate in the workshop to intercede on behalf of the state and Nigeria.
Plateau State Governor Barr. Caleb Mutfwang expressed gratitude to Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim for organizing the Middle-Belt Worship Convention and the visit to him, describing it as a gesture of goodwill and solidarity ahead of the Middle Belt Worship Convention 2025. The governor valued the visit as a demonstration of support and unity, particularly appreciating Dr. Olawepo-Hashim’s influential contributions to the advancement of God’s kingdom and Nigerian society.
