… Promote Nigeria’s export market

By Joyce Remi-Babayeju

The FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike has described the Abuja Industrial Park as an economic wonderland that will create over 40,000 jobs for Nigerian youths as well as promote Nigerian’s export market.

Wike said this on Wednesday while on inspection of the Abuja Industrial Park in Idu District.
He said,’ This is mind bubbling, this is my first time coming to this Abuja Industrial Park.”

The FCT Minister said that the Abuja Industrial Park, which has been approved by the government as a Free Zone, is all about growing the economy, encouraging exports and creating employment for the youths.
He said,” So many companies will have the opportunity to come here because now there is an approved free zone for them.”

According to Wike, in the Abuja Industrial Park there will be regular electricity to keep manufacturers and businesses going. It will create not less than 40,000 direct employment , which is huge because there is no government which will not support this kind of investment.”

The minister stated that the government will continue to support such investments that will help to grow the economy of Abuja and indeed, Nigeria.

“This is what every government craves for, and we would give them the necessary support.
You don’t need to be told having seen what is going on and what will happen in the next 3 to 4 years.”

“There is no city you want to develop that does not have an industrial park, I mean, how will that city develop.”

The Minister, who was elated at what he saw, expressed his happiness and thanked the Managing Director of Zeberced company, developing the Industrial Park for their commitment to ensuring that the Abuja economy is growing and Nigeria’s economy is going to move fast.

Wike who emphasized how the whole of the Idu harboring the Abuja Industrial Park would be developed, added that the contractor Zeberced company has given assurance that with approvals the construction of the Park would be successfully completed in the next 8 or 9 months and the area would be open.

The minister said,” As far as I am concerned, I have never seen this in the entire country. And from what I am seeing here, this will be a wonderland.”

“So Abuja is safe, and we encourage people to emulate companies like this who believe that this country must grow”, Wike urged other investors.
