Educational Development: IYC lauds PAP Coordinator Over Varsities Tour

By Amgbare Ekaunkumo, Yenagoa

The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide has commended Chief Dennis Otuaro, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, (PAP) over tour to Universities to interface with authorities and PAP students.

The call was made in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Yenagoa, on Sunday by Amb. Princewill Binebai, Spokesman Ijaw Youth Council (IYC).

According to IYC, we want to state unequivocally that Dr Dennis Otuaro, Administrator of PAP, is starting very well as the IYC is not surprised as he is known for his delivering capacity.

“Education anywhere in the World has been the mother of development in all spheres of life, hence the move by Otuaro to prioritize education via his recent tour to universities is a step in the right direction.

“As critical stakeholders in the region and country at large, we are applauding him for his well thought out move.

“These are some of the very important moves that have been missing in the programme for years now.

“The Niger Delta Presidential Amnesty Programme is no doubt a recipe for the peace currently enjoyed in the region hence the programme needs people like Otuaro to sustain the existing peace in the region.

“He is abreast with the myriad of issues bedeviling the region and the main objectives of the programme,” he they said.

The apex body, stated that just few months of assuming office as PAP Administrator, Otuaro, has shown clear commitment that he is going to deliver by starting with a clear vision.

The statement reads, he has positively revamped the programme for the good of Niger Deltan people and beneficiaries of the programme. He is bringing the programme more closer to the people.

“However, Council is once again commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing the right man for the job, for the umpteen time.

“Otuaro’s appointment is one of the best appointment to the Niger Delta people so far as the PAP Administrator is already addressing the issues surrounding the programme with a view of living up to the expectations.

“We are also commending the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu for creating the enabling environment for him to work as the Administrator of PAP.

“Beneficiaries and stakeholders of the programme are already feeling the positive impact of Otuaro.

“Council is calling on good spirited Niger Deltan people and stakeholders of the Niger Delta region to work closely with Otuaro to fully implement the core objectives of the programme,” statement stated.
