FA Cup 2023: DFA commends Wolves after victory over Gombe United

The Chairman of the Delta State Football Association(DFA), Chief Ken Nwamuocha has commended the Seasiders for the tenacious display against Savannah scorpions ( Gombe united FC) in the round of 16 of the 2023 Federation cup competition.

Nwamuocha who spoke in Asaba added that confidence, belief and faith made victory possible for the Warri based club.

Nwamucha, applauded the indomitable spirit which the team has shown in this year’s FA cup competition, urging the team to maintain their exemplary commitment until ultimate victory is achieved.

He assured the team and its handlers that they will continue to receive the fullest possible support from the state football Association and all Deltans as they strive to win the FA Cup trophy they once lost to Enyimba at the finals a couple of years ago.

The Coach Jolomi Atune led technical Crew brought in Sodiq Okunlola as a sub in the 40th minute and a lone goal from Sodiq scored on the 89th minute of the encounter was all Warri Wolves FC needed to seal a 1-0 victory over Gombe United in the round of 16 of the 2022/2023 Federations cup.

The midweek victory means Warri Wolves Fc have secured their ticket into the Quarter finals stage of this year’s FA cup and are expected to play their next match over the weekend.
