“Former Manchester United Captain Favors Arsenal Over City in EPL Title Race”

By Daniel Edu

Gary Neville, former Manchester United star, has made a bold prediction, suggesting that Arsenal could emerge as the English Premier League champions this season, surpassing defending champions Manchester City. Neville shared his insights on Sky Sports following Arsenal’s 1-0 victory against City on Sunday.

Neville indicated that he believes City might struggle to maintain their momentum this season. According to the ex-England international, the aftermath of winning a treble last season might impact City’s performance in the current season. He explained his prediction by pointing out that City, experiencing consecutive league losses for the first time in five years, could have eased off after achieving significant victories, including the Premier League, FA Cup, and the Champions League.

In Neville’s perspective, Arsenal’s proximity to the title race last year and their potential for a strong performance this season contributed to his prediction. He highlighted City’s situation, suggesting that after reaching the pinnacle by winning the Champions League and securing the treble, there might be a sense of relief and a subtle relaxation in their efforts this season.
