The chairman Kano Consumer Protection council (KSCPC), General Idris Bello Dambazau has written a petition against the chairman of Kano public complaints and anti- corruption commission ( PCACC) Barrister Mahmoud Balarabe on some issues that are relevant to Kano state governor’s intervention.
The petition which was filed dates Monday, 25th April, 2022 narrated how General Dambazau was maltreated when he visited the anti-graft agency’s headquarters to discuss issues with the relevant authority in order to amicably resolved the issue, where the full text of the letter read”
PETITION AGAIST BARRISTER MAHMOUD BALARABE ACTING CHAIRMAN KANO STATE PUBLIC COMPLAINS AND ANTI-CORRUPTION AGENCY(PCACC).
On Monday 25th April 2022, I forward a Letter Of Complain to His Excellency on some issues between the Kano State Consumer Protection Council (KSCPC) which I am heading & the PCACC headed by Barr Mahmoud Balarabe.
Thereafter, on the same day, I was contacted privately by one Alh Rabiu Gezawa who said he is the Commissioner One in PCACC. He proceeded to appeal to me to please come to the Commission so that we can sit down together & resolve all issues between the two Govt Agencies amicably.
Consequently, on Tuesday 26th April 2022 in the afternoon around 3pm, I voluntarily went to the PCACC premises. I was accompanied by the KSCPC Legal Representative, Barr Abubakar & the KSCPC CIB Inspector Nura.
On arrival we were ushered into the waiting room of the Chairman & we subsequently sat in a meeting & discussed all the issues. Thereafter, around 5pm I was taken to another office were I was asked to write a “Statement”.
Suddenly, several false allegations were thrown at me which I vehemently denied where at the end of that session, it was about 7pm which time to break fast i therefore requested to go home & break my fast but that was immediately denied.
Subsequently, I was detained without being allowed to even drink water uptill 10pm. This treated is obviously at attempt to do a great damage to my health & life and all appeals to the PCACC Chairman to release me were ignored including those from the Secretary to the State Govt, Alh Usman Alhaji.
At this juncture I had to virtually force my way out the PCACC Premises in the presence of my friends AIG Zarewa & Dr Garba Diso who also came to intervene, therefore, Your Excellency, it is now apparent that there is a deliberately planned Conspiracy between the Ag Chmn PCACC & some “interest groups” aimed at not only damaging my reputation & destroying the KSCPC but also threatening my life.
I am, therefore, once again passionately appealing to Your Excellency to pls wade into this matter urgently inorder to SAVE THE SITUATION, Thank you very much Your Excellency & wish you & all Kano Citizen a Blessed Id-el-Fitr. Ma’assalam.
