The reception took place on Monday at the A-Class Event Centre in Wuse 2, Abuja, and was attended by many prominent figures, according to a release from SSA New Media Abdurrahman Bundi on Tuesday.

He highlighted their shared experiences as commissioners under Senator Kashim Shettima’s governorship, describing Lawal’s performance as “second to none.”
The governor urged Lawal to “look inward and train more people from Borno State to become SANs” to develop local talent and promote legal excellence in the state. He assured Lawal, “As governor, I’ll create an enabling environment for this to happen.”
Zulum prayed for Lawal’s continued wisdom and guidance in his career.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio described Lawal as “a good ambassador, a seasoned legal practitioner, a detribalized Nigerian, an advocate of the masses, and a dependable ally.” Akpabio also praised Lawal’s impressive tenure in the National Assembly.
