People clamouring for major private initiatives to grow the Nigerian arts and culture through Martial arts now have some respite as Heritage Africa Village Square (HAvis) recently signed a MoU with Wu Lin Feng (WLF) at a cocktail party in Abuja to promote martial arts as well as Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage to the world.
In a welcome address, CEO of Heritage Africa, Mr. Moses Ayom said the MoU with Chinese martial arts giants, WLF is a dream come true that marks the beginning of great things to come which in the next 24 months will give over 1000 Nigerian Youths an opportunity to show forth their talents and make a living out of it.
“Gone are the days when martial arts was widely perceived in the nation as an evil sport. The world is evolving and the Nigerian Youth, known for her strength and resilience can use the WLF organized competitions to make us proud not only on a local level but also at a global stage where they get to compete with the best martial arts fighters,” he added.
Interestingly, Ayom is not eager to grab all attention. Rather, his joy lies in not only getting his dream realised but also in creating more job opportunities for Nigerian youths while effectively utilizing its strengths.
Also speaking at the cocktail event, Mr. Henry Liu, a representative of WLF said WLF is the longest running martial arts program in the world and found Heritage Africa worthy to partner with while reaching out to Africa.
“We are looking to bring ‘Kung fu’ matches in Nigeria because Nigeria is Africa’s most powerful and beautiful nation and therefore our headquarter in Africa will be established here.
“In the nearest future, young boys and girls will be skilled in martial arts by our team of professionals and the outstanding ones can go on to represent Nigeria at the International level.
“This is a channel for the young ones to develop their bodies and mind and get paid by showing the power of Nigeria to the world,” he said.

The event also witnessed amazing cultural display of dance and story telling by Heritage Africa.
