House of Reps Member Struggles with English While Presenting Motion

By   Milcah   Tanimu

Hon. Adigun Abass, the House of Representatives member for Ibadan North-East/South-East, struggled to express himself while presenting a motion. The PDP representative had difficulty articulating his points, prompting Speaker Tajudeen Abbas to guide him. Despite the Speaker’s efforts, Abass continued to falter and eventually returned to his seat.

The incident sparked debates on social media. Some questioned the qualifications of certain National Assembly members. Others defended Abass, pointing to his achievements in his constituency, such as empowerment programs, scholarships, and infrastructure projects. While critics noted his communication skills, many praised his work for the community.
