Ian Wright Advises Rashford to Emulate Local Heroes: Saka, Smith Rowe, and Gerrard

By   Milcah   Tanimu

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has encouraged Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford to embrace the responsibility of being a local player, much like Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe, as well as Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard. This advice follows Rashford’s recent struggles and a lackluster performance in Manchester United’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United. Wright pointed out the significance of local players connecting with fans and cited examples of Saka and Smith Rowe lifting Arsenal through challenging times. He urged Rashford to demonstrate the same commitment and fight that local players like Gerrard exhibited during their careers.
