The custodian of the Batta kingdom of Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa State, His Royal Majesty, Hama Batta Teneke has called for women inclusion for accelerated national development.
The Human Betta, Diyoshkfato Kpanggasheye made this call while marking the 2024 International Women’s Day, IWD, with the Betta women in his Kingdom.

The monarch who paid special tributes to Betta women and other Nigerian Women for their strength and resilience applauded their unmeasurable contributions to the promotion of peaceful coexistence, while enhancing family values and economic development.

The Teneke appealed to the Federal Government and stakeholders to give priority to Gender inclusion and to take deliberate steps to invest in women with a view to building a country with gender equality and equity for national development.

In a statement signed by the spokesperson to the Humon Batta, Chief Ladi Bala, the Royal father used the occasion of the International Women’s Day to appeal to sons and daughters as well as traditional title holders of BATTA KINGDOM in the interest of societal transformation and development, to invest in women in the areas of education and entrepreneur ventures in BATTA KINGDOM.

According to the statement, the Royal father decried the teeming number of out of school children, particularly the girl child in the country describing it as worrisome and called for proactive steps to tackle it.
