The Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, has suspended Auwalu Sankara, the Commissioner for Special Duties, loo oo an investigation into his recent arrest by the Kano State Hisbah Board.
LooSankara was allegedly caught in an uncompleted building with a married woman, an incident confirmed by the Hisbah Board’s Director General, Dr. oAbba Sufi, on Friday evening.
In a statement released the same night, Sankara denied the accusations, labeling them as false and malicious. He claimed the allegations were an attempt to tarnish his reputation.
The Jigawa State government, through a statement signed by Malam Bala Ibrahim, Secretary to the State Government, announced the suspension on Saturday. The government emphasized that the suspension is aimed at ensuring a thorough and transparent investigation, while maintaining the administration’s integrity.
