Tragedy struck the Lubo community in Yamaltu-Deba Local Government Area of Gombe State on Monday morning, as suspected armed robbers brutally murdered a Christian clergyman, Reverend Bala Galadima.
Galadima, who served as the presiding pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Lubo, was reportedly attacked and killed at his residence in the early hours of Monday.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya Condemns Murder
Reacting to the tragic incident, Governor Inuwa Yahaya expressed strong condemnation, describing the killing as a threat to the peace and security of Gombe State. He has directed security agencies to track down the perpetrators and ensure justice is served.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Isma’ila Uba Misilli, the governor said:
“This reprehensible act is an assault on the peace and security that Gombe State has long enjoyed. Such incidents must not be allowed to disrupt the peaceful coexistence in the state.”
Governor Yahaya extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the ECWA Church, and the Christian community, praying for the repose of Reverend Galadima’s soul.
