Kaduna Birthday Party Attacked by Terrorists: Six Dead, Several Injured

By Milcah Tanimu

In a disturbing turn of events, terrorists launched a brutal assault on a birthday celebration in Ambe community, resulting in six fatalities and nine individuals sustaining injuries in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Micah Aude, the community’s youth leader, confirmed the tragic incident on Monday, recounting how the attackers, riding motorcycles, descended upon the community and unleashed gunfire on a house where a birthday gathering was underway. Although the celebrants managed to escape unharmed, several bystanders near the vicinity of nearby shops fell victim to the attack.

According to Micah, locals managed to apprehend one of the assailants who attempted to flee on a motorcycle, though his identity remains unknown. “We promptly handed over the captured attacker to the authorities as we rushed the injured to the hospital for urgent medical attention,” Micah stated.

Security forces swiftly intervened, restoring calm to the community. “Normalcy has returned, and we are preparing to lay the six victims to rest,” added Micah.

Despite attempts to gather official information, the Executive Chairman of the Local Government Area, Bissallah Malan, was unable to provide immediate details due to travel commitments. Subsequent attempts to reach him were unsuccessful.

Efforts to obtain a statement from the Police State Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, also proved futile, as he could not be reached by phone, nor did he respond to text messages sent by our correspondent at the time of compiling this report.
