Kaduna Womenhood foundation decries School closures in North

Womenhood Foundation of Nigeria (WFN) and founder of womenhood college of health sciences and technology Kaduna cerebrated with over 200 Women and female students to Mark’s 2021 world international women’s day.
During the colourful occasion held at the College premises at Ungwan Dusa, the Director of the foundation, Nurudeen Bello decried dwindling future of Nigerians girls education especially northern Nigeria midst increasing security challenges.
He said a situation where most boarding schools are shutdown in Kano , Zamfara, Niger states and other parts of the northern states due to abduction is a serious drawback to the future of the country’s youths especially girls child and therefore unacceptable.
Accordingly to him, local, states and federal governments should take urgent steps to secured the future education of the girls in the north from totally collapse by boosting more security institutions in and around schools instead of closing down.
Bello who attributed the deteriorated insecurity situations to poor finding of security institutions and personnel said, ‘A situation where lengthy hours, days and nights are spent by police security officers on special duties attracted peacenut is not only discouraging but demoralizing.
“How can a police officer go and spend 24 hours on special duties, and at the end of the month, given N2,000-N5,000 as and allowance, it’s discouraging and moral killing. It’s happening in Nigeria, he said.
He also said that “Governors should not stop women from going to school at all.  Let them secure women and the education.
