Kane included in Spurs’ squad for Europa Conference League qualifier

Kane only returned to training at Spurs last Friday, and was then not included in Nuno Espirito Santo’s match day 1 squad.

That squad was for Sunday’s 2021/2022 English Premier League (EPL) opener against defending champions Manchester City.

However, the absence of Kane —- who has been the subject of intense speculation over a move to Manchester City —-  seemed not to have been felt.

Son Heung-min’s 55th minute goal earned a 1-0 win to get Nuno’s tenure off to a strong start.

Already, the player has reportedly had a first offer for him turned down in June.

But, while speculation continues of Manchester City lodging another bid for him, the England captain could well make his return to action on Thursday.

Spurs travel to face Primeira Liga side Pacos de Ferreira this week, before hosting the second leg on Aug. 26, and Kane has been named in Nuno’s 25-man selection.

Though Kane does make the cut, Spurs’ record signing Tanguy Ndombele has not been picked.

Serge Aurier, who is expected to leave this month, has also been left out.
