KEDCO Metering Programme Ongoing, Urged Customers To Strictly Comply To Ensure Accurate Billing

Kano electricity distribution company(KEDCO), has reiterated that the metering programme is still ongoing and it is free of charge in order to ensure that real billing system is organised in compliance of the federal government’s metering initiative.

The company stated this in a press statement signed by the KEDCO’s head of corporate communication, Malam Ibrahim Sani Shawai and issued to newsmen in kano, calling on the customers across Kano, Katsina and Jigawa States to gives all the necessary co-operation for the successful implementation of the metering.

Furthermore, the company re assured that the meters are free of charge as no single Kobo is required from the households and warns that any staff of the company found extortion money from the customers would be apprehended and prosecuted accordingly.

In conclusion, KEDCO urged customers to report anybody found extorting money in the name of metering programme as thousands of households has been metered to end estimated billing systems at kano franchise areas.
