By Isreal Adamu, Jos

The Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Area (LGA), Hon. Pirfa Tyem, has expressed concern over the rising cases of child trafficking in Plateau State, calling for collective efforts to address the menace.

Speaking during a special Sunday service at COCIN Central, Langtang North, Hon. Tyem urged parents to be vigilant and protective of their children.

He emphasized the importance of parents and guardians exercising caution about whom they entrust their children and wards to, advising the public to promptly report any suspected child traffickers to the nearest police station or relevant authorities.

“This issue is on the rise, and we must all work together to combat it. Parents and guardians must remain alert and ensure the safety of their children,” Tyem stated.

Call for Prayers and Community Engagement

Hon. Tyem also encouraged the Christian community to embrace the teachings of Christ and to fervently pray for the leadership of the church, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all levels of government.

He called on Christians to support leaders through prayers, emphasizing the need for divine guidance in governance and leadership.

Recent Achievements and Development Plans

In a statement signed by Passmore Danladi, the head of media to the Council Chairman, Hon. Tyem outlined his administration’s recent accomplishments, which include engagement with development partners to bring significant improvements to Langtang North.
