Lionel Messi receives three nominations for ESPY 2023 awards [Full list].

Lionel Messi, the World Cup-winning captain of the Argentinian team, has received nominations in three categories for the prestigious ESPY 2023 award. The ESPYs are presented by the popular American broadcast TV station, ABC. Messi, who previously played for Barcelona and PSG, has had an exceptional season, culminating in his triumph at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where he scored seven goals and provided three assists.Lionel Messi, the World Cup-winning captain of the Argentinian team, has received nominations in three categories for the ESPY 2023 award. In addition to his nominations in three categories for the ESPY 2023 award, Lionel Messi is also a nominee for the Best Soccer Player category. He shares this nomination with Aitana Bonmati, Erling Haaland, and Sophia Smith.
