Lobi Stars Football Club Suspends Three Players Over Insubordination, Gross Misconduct

The Management of Lobi Stars Football Club, Makurdi led by Emmanuel Aondofa has suspended Ebube Duru, John Lazarus and Ossy Martins over insubordination and gross misconduct having failed to answer various queries served them.

In a statement by Lobi Stars Head of Media, Mr Uja Emmanuel contended that Ebube Duru was suspended over insubordination and sabotage for defiling the Vice Chairman’s instruction that he must make the match day 33 trip to Katsina, and for persistently feigning injuries to opt out of several games without the club medical Officer’s excuse duty certificate.

” The duo of John Lazarus and Ossy Martins had feigned injuries and opted out of the Aiteo Cup round 16 against Bayesa United and were later spotted in the camp of anther NPFL club for a contract without notice, which the management considered it an act of sabotage”, Uja explained.

According to the Media Officer, the suspension of the three players is with immediate effect to serve as a deterrent to other players, adding that the club have played four matches undefeated without the aforementioned players.

Uja who pointed out that though the trio were rated as the three best, stated however that the Aondofa led management has zero tolerance for indiscipline for faster growth of the club.
