Man Issues Apology to Mercy Chinwo and Others Over Paternity Allegations

In a notable turn of events, a social media user extends an apology to gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, her husband Pastor Blessed, and others following an erroneous allegation regarding the paternity of a child.

The individual, identified as Okoronkwo Ejike on Facebook, had initially made a post raising questions about the paternity of Mercy Chinwo’s son, Charis, shortly after the child’s unveiling by his parents.

Ejike’s post insinuated a resemblance between the child and gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey, suggesting a potential connection between them and implying a romantic involvement between the two singers.

However, the post faced swift backlash from online communities, prompting Ejike to retract his statement and issue an apology.

In a follow-up post, he expressed remorse for his earlier remarks, extending an unreserved apology to Mercy Chinwo, Nathaniel Bassey, Pastor Blessed, and anyone else affected by his comments.

He stated, “I hereby tender an unreserved apology to Mercy Chinwo, Nathaniel Bassey, and Pastor Blessed for my take on the striking resemblance of Pastor Blessed’s baby. And to everyone who got hurt over my post, I’m deeply very sorry. Love and light for Cosmic positive vibrations, Shalom.”

This act of contrition serves as a reminder of the importance of responsible social media behavior and the repercussions of spreading unfounded rumors.
