Man Shares Encounter With Osinachi’s Husband in Kuje Prison

A Nigerian man has shared details of his brief interaction with Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of late gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu, during a visit to Kuje Correctional Facility.

Peter Nwachukwu was recently sentenced to death by hanging after being found guilty of causing the death of his wife, a case that drew national attention and widespread outrage.

The man, identified as Chude on X (formerly Twitter), recounted the emotional exchange, noting that Peter appeared remorseful and filled with regret over his actions.

“I met this man in Kuje prison, had a brief chat with him. He was full of regrets and remorse. So unfortunate it ended this way for him,” Chude tweeted.

The tragic case of Osinachi’s death, which many believe stemmed from prolonged domestic abuse, continues to stir conversation around gender-based violence and justice in Nigeria.
