Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has called on Nigerians to reflect on Allah’s power to fulfill His promises to mankind and to remain committed to following His guidance.
The governor made this appeal during the Maulud Nabbiy celebration (marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad) at the Ilorin Township Stadium on Monday. He emphasized that the Prophet’s birth was a blessing to humanity, offering unique guidance and mercy to the world.
Represented by his Senior Adviser, Alhaji Saadu Salahu, the governor said, “The birth and rise of Prophet Muhammad teach us a powerful lesson about how God can protect and lead us to our destiny, even in the face of adversity. Despite being an orphan and facing hostility, the Prophet fulfilled his divine mission and delivered his message to the world flawlessly.”
He urged everyone to draw strength from the Prophet’s life, adding, “With sincere faith in Allah, hard work, and dedication to communal values, we can overcome any challenges and emerge stronger.”
The governor prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the community and the nation, asking for forgiveness of sins and continuous divine protection.
In his message, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, congratulated Muslims on the occasion of Maulud Nabbiy. He encouraged reflection on the Prophet’s exemplary life, emphasizing values of kindness, compassion, and brotherhood.
Danladi-Salihu also urged Nigerians to renew their patriotism, love for the nation, and support for leaders through prayers for Allah’s guidance, in order to foster lasting peace, progress, and development.
