“Mercy Eke Reveals Lack of Support from Fellow Housemates in Emotional ‘BBNaija’ Return”

By  Milcah   Tanimu

Reality TV star Mercy Eke, known for winning the “Big Brother Naija” (BBNaija) show, has candidly shared her emotional experience of returning to the BBNaija house and the lack of support she felt from her fellow housemates. In a conversation with media personality Hero Daniels, Mercy tearfully recounted the challenges she faced during her second stint on the popular reality show.

Mercy expressed her ambition and desire for more in life, emphasizing that she believed it was essential to aim high and strive for success. However, her aspirations appeared to draw criticism and trolling from some of her fellow housemates and viewers, which deeply affected her.

“I feel like I’m too ambitious. People made me feel like I’m asking for too much. What did I do wrong? I did not commit any crime. The only crime I committed was wanting more, and I ask again, is that a bad thing for a person to want more,” Mercy lamented during her conversation with Hero Daniels.

She further revealed that she received different treatment in the BBNaija house compared to Whitemoney, another housemate who had previously won the competition during a different season. Mercy pointed out that the support and energy she received, both inside and outside the house, were different from what she had expected.

The former BBNaija winner went on to express her gratitude to her dedicated fanbase, as they were her primary source of support during her time in the house. Despite the challenges she faced and the lack of support from her housemates, Mercy acknowledged her fans’ unwavering support and encouragement.

Mercy Eke’s journey in the recently concluded BBNaija All Stars show ended with her securing the second-place position, while Ilebaye emerged as the winner. Her emotional account sheds light on the pressures, expectations, and criticism that contestants face when returning to the BBNaija house for a second time.
