Mikang Chairman Benard Alkali Begins ‘thank You’ Tour

Executive Chairman of Mikang local government Council of Plateau state  Hon. Benard Alkali, on Wednesday returned to rural communities in the council  to say thank you to members of his constituency for overwhelming supporting  the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and him at the polls. 

Our correspondent reports that the people came out in their hundreds to welcome the Council boss.

Hon Bernard assured that the landscape of  several rural communities across the local government council would be dotted with people oriented and development projects as a token of appreciation for the support garnered during the election culminating in his emergence as Council boss. 

He pledged to carry along every one in governance. 

‘ I would ensure that massive development is brought to rural communities in Mikang Local government council of the state,” he stressed. 

Speaking at  Din ward , Hon. Benard Alkali  appreciated the  people for their support during his elections and  unveiled plans for the immediate construction of a modern primary health care clinic in the ward.

The residents of the communities joyfully expressed their happiness to the chairman for honouring them with his visit and unveiling such a magnificent gift of a modern clinic. 

Speaking in separate remarks on behalf of the communities, Hon. Bitrus Shaga, a two-time Councillor of the ward and a critical stakeholder, confirmed that no elected Chairman has ever returned to appreciate the community after an election, let alone bring in any meaningful project. 

He appreciated the chairman and declared total support to the  administration  Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and that of the council boss. 

The village head representatives, women and youth leaders, Hon. Nandong Linus supervisory counsellor on revenue and Hon. Moses, Councillor representing the ward gave their goodwill messages and equally extolled the chairman for his generosity and love. 

The youth leader of Kongyel presented gifts to the chairman as a sign of appreciation and honour. 

In the same vein, the chairman went on a surprise visit to one of the ongoing primary health care construction projects.

He  also stopped at the Shamang project site and was impressed with the quality and speed of work by the contractors.

He was accompanied on the tour by a high power delegation of stakeholders and Party’s faithfuls
